A Typical Day In The Kindergarten

8:00 AM

Our Day begins When Children arrive!

In our beautiful Outdoor creative space we start with snack preparation for the day; kneading bread dough, grain grinding, chopping vegetables for soup, making applesauce, and even grating cheese for millet.

8:30 AM

Outdoor Time

Filled with creative, self initiated play. Learning topics like caring for the outdoor environment, gardening, & wood working.

9:30 AM

Time for a Walk

Our supervised walk gets the blood flowing and ready to take on the rest of the day!

9:45 AM

Circle Time

Gather around for choreographed seasonal songs with movement and gestures, also traditional circle games and simple role play.

10:00 AM

Snack Time!

Everyone gets a hearty, wholesome snack. Usually this is the snack that was prepared at the day’s beginning.

10:30 AM

Indoor Playtime

Children learn & grow in self-initiated play. Social skills are gained as well as expressing creativity through the making of domestic arts & crafts.

11:30 AM

CleanUp & Story/puppet play time!

Children learn the value of cleaning up after the day’s fun, and the reward of a job well done with story or puppet play time!

12:00 PM

Farewell to ‘Early Birds’

The morning has concluded and we will see you the next day!

Afternoon Children

Eat lunch, set up their sleep area, listen to a story, nap, clean up the sleep area and then play outside until time to leave at 3.

3:00 PM

School Day Program Ends

The School Day Program has concluded and we will see you the next day!

3:00 PM

Aftercare Program Children

There is free play time either indoors or outside.

5:00 PM

Extended Day Program Ends

The Extended Day Program has concluded and we will see you the next day!
